Schools

Thousands of young people in the Colchester area have no meaningful contact with church, and little opportunity to examine the Christian life for themselves.

Working in co-operation with staff in local secondary schools we help with:

  • assemblies
  • lessons
  • lunchtime and after-school groups
  • pastoral support
  • and extra curricular ativities.
Our aim is to help students with the life issues they face, to present the Christian faith in ways that are relevant and meaningful and to give opportunities for students to see and to question the way our faith works out in everyday life.

SANCTUM is a project
written and produced by the CYO team that allows students to reflect on their lives from a spiritual perspective.
Installed in a school or college for a week and run by a trained team, SANCTUM has been shown to be an effective way of inspiring students to think more deeply about their lives and their relationship with themselves, those around them, their world and God.
